Pros: Effectiveness, Ease of Use, None
Cons: Overall Quality
Worth the investment
I like this product overall, but I have a wide variety of fixed-blade knives, ranging from a Leatherman PST to a Rat Cutlery RC5 (full belly, 1/4 thick, 5" blade, saber grind). I find it better suited for the smaller knives, the large ones just didn't get a good seat in the plastic holder, and it's hard to figure out the right angle setting to use. I've found that the magnet can sometimes slip off - not an issue if you're going very slow & smooth, but can make the entire setup seem a bit haphazard. I may end up getting a spyderco sharpmaker or lansky sharpening system.
