Favorite all-around tactical
Love this knife. This is the best all around tactical folder I own. The ergonomics are excellent, the wave action is faster than any knife, automatic or not. Emerson knives are known for their quality, durability, and ergonomics. If you've never bought an Emerson it's important to note that almost all Emerson folder knives have a break-in period. I own a Commander, a mini-Commander, and a few other Emerson's. Usually this takes a week or two of frequent opening. The blade can seem stiff to open at first and the titanium liner lock can seem to stick and be hard to release. The knife will loosen up to butter smoothness and the liner lock will become easy to release. It just takes a little time and a lot of opening and closing. I own SEVERAL Benchmades and other quality knives that don't require any break-in, but it's the Emerson knives that I carry and trust. Well worth the break-in period.

Perfect
I carry my commander everywhere on and off duty. The clip on my particular knife is great. The clip is probably the most used part of it for me. I use my leatherman for cutting random materials not this top of the line tactical knife. Anyhow, my clip never bends and I cannot relate to the above statements. On the contrary, this is the nicest pocket clip I've seen on any brand. If you sit and pull on the pocket clip, you're going to break it. If you abuse any tool constantly, it'll break eventually. Emersons are great knives and any statments suggesting otherwise are questionable. I do like spyderco as well, but I don't think that they're better. I once owned a spyderco Military and the ridiculous blade play on the $130+ knife led me to discard it and vow to never again purchase another one of that brand's liner-locks, yet I've seen great reviews on it. I think sometimes you just get unlucky and end up with a bad knife from a usual good company.
