Pros: Handle Material, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, Blade Material, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Pocket Clip, None
Great knife for serious job.
Chisel bevel is really nice, with a good edge retention, but in my opinion the blade's thickness is a little bit too weak. Otherwise the knife has a nice handle shape, you can easily use the knife with gauntlet.

great blade but the rest is not as high quality
To be honest, I didn't get this one from Knifecenter. I got it off a store here in the Philippines. Had to pay full retail though. Should have gotten it here. This knife is huge. The blade is long, thick and SHARP! Also the primary bevel is v-grind, the edge grind is chisel, so it is very, very sharp. The handle is big. Nice ergonomics. You could actually use the pointed butt as a blunt weapon. Nice finger guard. The G-10 checkering is really grippy, this knife won't fly off your hand, that's for sure. The recurve shape of the blade is outstanding and very useful. On the downside: The knife when closed plays a lot. Even when open there is noticeable horizontal blade play. You have to adjust the pivot screw to reduce the blade play. But when you adjust it so that there is no blade play it is hard to deploy the blade. The blade deployment is not so smooth, it seems that the ball detent is catching on some grooves on the blade tang. MAJOR DOWNSIDE: The pivot screws loosens a bit everytime you open the knife. Since I got the knife I've been practicing opening and closing it a lot and I have to tighten up the pivot screw at least once a day. The linerlock is badly finished. If the pivot screw is loose, the liner lock goes all the way to the other side of the tang. The knife is very hard to unlock, sometimes I have to put down the knife and use both thumbs to disengage it. While splitting bamboo (I know, you don't use a folding knife to do this, but Emerson says it's for hard use), the pivot screw is visibly loosening and, again, the lock would not easily disengage. The knife is good, if you don't mind the high maintainence part (in that you have to adjust the pivot screw again and again). But is it worth it for the price? No. I expect the fit and finish to be a whole lot better at this price level. I just got myself a zero tolerance 302 (from knifecenter, of course) that's almost the same price, now that is a better hard use knife!
