Pros: Handle Material, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, Blade Material, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
Another Good Emerson
This is my third Emerson so far. Great feel in the hand. No blade play whatsoever. Smooth opening and closing. Great grip on handles. Emerson, in my opinion, has the best G10 texturing of any knife I have handled. some people complain about the handles being hard on pockets, but what do you want, a knife you can hold on to, no matter what, or a smoother handle that's easier on pockets. I know which one I'll pick. Emerson describes this blade as an upswept Wharncliffe, which is a good description. I think this knife would be a great defensive carry, while being able to handle most EDC duties pretty well. I've read some reviews from other people complaining of build quality, but this being my third Emerson, I haven't seen that yet. Fit and finish on this knife is excellent as far as I can tell. Handles fit to liners well, and no lock stick. The only reason i gave it four stars is because it's not as sharp as my other two. Not that it's not sharp, just not as sharp as the other two. Not really a problem since sharpening the chisel edge is about as easy as you can get. Also, this was my first black blade Emerson, looks really great. Will probably get black blades from now on, if available. Thanks to Emerson for another great build and thanks to Knife Center for their as usual great service. I don't believe there is anyone out there that does as great a job and has the products That Knife Center does. Thanks again.
