FFARCHON20: Archon #20
Ferrum Forge
The Archon flipper is one good looking, ferocious folder with the ability to flex into EDC and tactical situations both equally as well. The 3.5" Americanized tanto blade is made of 20CV steel with a matte finish that's really like a cross between bead blast and stonewash. The finger choil is large enough to actually use and very smartly, Ferrum Forge did not extend the blade grind the full length, giving you about 1/10" of dull blade to protect your finger as your grip it. The blade rides on ceramic thrust bearings and with the Hoback Rolling Detent it absolutely flies out of the handle and locks open solidly, while still being very unlikely to open in the pocket. The handle is full titanium with a very ergonomic curve and replaceable lockbar insert. The pocket clip rides adequately deep and provides excellent retention in the pocket. Sharp jimping, a groove on the spine of the blade for your thumb if you choke up on the blade, and a blue anodized pivot screw really set this knife off. The knife will make an excellent safe queen, tactical user, or EDC blade - the possibilities are endless from Ferrum Forge. Comes in a very nice Dog Tag ID’d soft case to protect your investment.
