Fantastic Fixed Blade Production Karambit!!
This karambit is just all around excellent. It came scary sharp out of the box and I do mean SCARY. SHARP. I had to use it in a self-defense capacity and it worked VERY well. The steel type and the related teflon coating lend itself to keeping a very sharp edge, so it was nice to see this so sharp from the factory. I didn't even have to touch it up after this encounter. Just cleaned it up and back to business. Heck, I was so impressed with this knife that I ended up buying a few more!! I've talked to the original designer, Rich Derespina, since I've purchased this blade and he did mention that he found that FOX Knives had made the grip too big from his original design, creating a 5" grip instead of 4". More than one person told me that this would make the grip too large to be very comfortable. I throw this out there only as a warning in case anyone thinking about buying it may have previous karambit experience. It'll be a "loose" fit compared to any other *traditionally sized* blades and grips of this type, but I do not have large hands and it fits me like a GLOVE! The ONLY downside to this knife purchase is that the newest versions of the factory sheath come with a Blade-Tek Molle Lok clip mounted for left hand carry (in the "traditional" reverse grip carry of the karambit - you can still carry it on the right hand side but it'll be in the forward or "saber" grip, no big deal). The biggest issue is the sheath has the mounting hardware attached on the INSIDE of the sheath. What does this mean for you? Well, a Molle Lok clip is designed for use on a flatter surface than a belt, which can cause the clip to bulge and deform over time. Because of this, I've had at least two of these clips pop out of their sockets, which isn't very secure, especially when you're wearin' em! Because the clip is mounted with the hardware on the inside of the sheath, you'll have to disassemble the sheath and do some work in order to provide a more secure mounting option like a Tek Lok (also from Blade Tek). That issue aside, it is my FIRST choice for CQC (and a knife I use exclusively for self defense) every time. A review on Youtube said it best...this karambit is on the level for "professional use". Take that however you want, but this is EASILY one of the finest (and sharpest) production blades I own! Love it!!

Perfect for one reason
A high end karambit for serious business. I love karambits and I have many. This is one of the best of my fixed blades karambits. Comes razor sharp. Maybe the sheat should have the option of a TEK LOCK fix. However - not important to me.
