FSQP2LXAA: Quark Pro "X" AA², XM-L Edition
The Quark Pro "X" series have received a powerful upgrade - CREE's latest XM-L emitters! The XM-L puts out even more lumens in a wider area, reducing the tunnel-vision effect from a concentrated hotspot.

Operating your Quark AA² is simple. Make sure its batteries are inserted with the positive side (+) toward the head. Ensure the bezel (the 'head' of the light) and tailcap are tightened, then depress the tailcap button fully so that it 'clicks' and the light turns on.

The two most commonly used modes are Max and Moonlight, the highest and lowest modes. To access Max, you simply tighten the bezel. To access Moonlight, you just loosen the bezel a half-turn. That's it.

You can also cycle through the Quark's other modes just as easily. Lightly depress the button momentarily (you don't need to 'click' it off) and the output will switch to the next mode. The mode sequence is determined by whether the bezel is tightened or loosened:

Loosened Bezel: Moonlight -> Low -> Medium -> High -> SOS -> Beacon

Tightened Bezel: Max -> Strobe

Once the Quark has been turned off for at least three seconds, it will revert to the first level of output in the sequence, either Moonlight or Max.

Pros: Bulb Durability, Battery Life, Durability, Brightness
Cons: None
great flashlight, Carry it everywhere
This light was an everyday carry for me for over a year. It is extremely bright, and I never had a problem with it functioning. Do not under estimate the 0.3 lumen setting, this was one of the most used used for me I rarely needed max but it is nice to have just in case.Plus 270 lumens fun to show off with. I carried this enough that the black finish had worn off in many places and exposed the bare aluminum, which isn't a problem for me it just shows it had been used. I lost it this week because I fell out of my pocket while running and I was unable to find it So the only thing I would change is to have a pocket clip with a bit more retention. I am going to replace it with the QP2L-X Gen 2 with burst mode soon.

Great Light
Purchased this light to replace a Protac 2AA that was dropped and lost significant brightness. Hands down this light is much brighter and addresses a deficiency I found with my other light. It stands upright on the tail end. One thing that I will complain about is how far the beam travels which is not very far. More of a flood light then a spot light. Not a deal breaker for me but just something to consider. This is my first FourSevens product and I will be purchasing more
