dangerous opening blade
This knife I use as a gentleman's. It is small and can be easily carried in the pocket everyday. It will easily cut any items I may need, boxes, twine and so on. I have owned another mini speed opener with a drop point blade half serrated blade. Had to slide a small button switch up and then barely touch the blade to open. This one has a different opening system that only requires pushing the blade thumb stud to open. The knife is small enough that my grip on the knife out of the pocket must be adjusted to push correctly for opening. The pressure the blade is held down for safety forces my thumb to follow the blade. This has caused a cut on my thumb and fingers several times. Would not have purchased this had I known of these problems. Knife was very sharp out of the box, and workman ship is good. Just the design is bad. Of course postage makes return rather cut into cost saving.
