Pros: Pocket Clip, Lock Type, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Handle Material, None
Cons: Weight, Blade Material
An All Rounder
I use it as a daily carry... to cut cardboard boxes, packaging materials, ropes, straps, maybe shave a pencil or two... and it's been standing up to the tasks pretty good.I own/owned products from Gerber, SOG, Benchmade, Spiderco, Ka-Bar, and Cold Steel (along with *ahem* 'other' less known brands) and this one I rate above average. It's locking mechanism is tighter than my previous Gerber encounters so they got that right. Love the grippy feel of the handle. Another plus for Gerber. It's secure and slip resistant. Of course I always liked assisted opening knives and this one is no exception - smooth and quick. I can't ask too much from a knife of this price range, and I rate it accordingly. And to that point, I can't really say the cons are weight and blade material but yes, I would pay a bit more if it was a better steel so it gets a minus in that department. All in all, a good daily carrier. Sits in pocket nicely and can handle daily chores with ease. I would recommend it to someone who's purpose is for that, EDC.
