Description
GB75231: Gator Fillet
Gerber

Getting your hands on the optimal fillet knife can be as daunting as winter steelhead in Pacific Northwest rivers. That is, unless you're acquainted with Gerber's Gator Fillet knife, available in four lengths. This sleek demon of a knife can make even the rawest rookie look like an old pro at the cutting board.

The Gator Fillet is the fin-snappin epitome of masterful craftsmanship in knifemaking. With a full tang stainless steel blade. And Gerber's patented Gator Grip handle. So it feels good in your hand, whether the conditions are wet or dry. Okay, maybe not as good as when that big one strikes your line. But still..

And one more thing: The Gator Fillet comes complete with a hard-molded sheath and built-in ceramic sharpener, so you can do your fillet thing right there on the dock or on shore. Fresh caught fish deserve only the finest, right? Right.

Cons: Materials, Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality, Sheath/Scabbard
Better options
Looking at this knife u can see where they where trying to go with the design, but the cheap over seas construction make this knife a sad showing from gerber. The worst part is the sheath. Its basically just a cheap piece of plastic that mine was stabbing into the side of.price reflects quality and there are a lot of much better choices for the same price range.
