Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Weight, Overall Quality, None
Great EDC Field Knife
This is the everyday carry field knife I have been searching for for years. Why? The blade is long enough to do most outdoor cutting chores. It is very sharp, the edge is durable, and the laminated steel is tough. The length, girth, and shape of the handle make for a comfortable, secure, and ergonomic grip. The overall length (8 inches) and carry weight (5-1/2 ounces with sheath) make for comfortable all day carry. Plus, the handmade leather sheath is very nice. What’s not to like? Two things to be aware of: First, the 18/8 stainless steel that forms the outside laminates of the blade is untempered and relatively soft, so it won’t take a bright finish and shows work marks. Second, the stag horn disk at the front of the handle may differ in color from knife to knife. I have tested and worked the knife enough to say that it has no shortcomings as a general purpose outdoor knife. It is a great value.
