Pros: Blade Material, Weight, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Overall Quality, None
Innovative design, great back-up knife
This is my second Cardsharp as I have the first generation model as well. The first generation blade retention divot wore away, meaning the blade could come out if not inside my wallet. The new, second gen solves that with a rotating lock and the overall construction has been beefed up, with thicker plastic and a different, more matte blade coating. I agree with the other reviews, by design, the handle/lock-up is flimsy but for light cutting it poses no risk. I love having this as a back-up knife in my wallet and also when I'm wearing a suit, as it is incredibly thin and light-weight and fits flat in a breast pocket. The blade is scapel sharp and, paired with a good EDC folder (mine is a Kershaw Random Task) is great for delicate cutting tasks. Just remember to take it out of your wallet when you travel!
