Dull knife too sharp
I really like that Kabar wants to promote training by creating a dull(er) version of a knife. I bought both the sharp and this trainer together. The sharp I use on duty; obviously the trainer is for practice. It's fine for impact training on a non-living target or for maybe 1/4 speed, no power training with a live partner. The "dull" edge is squared, not rounded, and of too thin a thickness. I feel you can easily cut or maybe more accurately rip someone's skin if you're not real careful. Only reason I didn't give it a "5". Everything else about it is great.

Mandatory for any TDI owner
In advancing my knife training, I have found that it is imperative that you have a dull trainer for any live blade that you use. It was a long time coming, but finally TDI has a large trainer!
