Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Third knife
In the past 7 years, my Nephew has been deployed three times, and I have purchased two KA-BAR commemorative knives to mark his safe return from past deployments. He has now returned from a year in S. Korea, so this is my third purchase. They are strong, very well made, carbon steel, and the graphics are sharp. I have each one engraved with his name, country deployed to, and year(s) of deployment. He has been very pleased with my gifts, which makes me happy. You can't go wrong with a KA-BAR!!!
