Great Blade, So-So Handle
I bought this for an everyday carry outdoor knife for hunting, fishing, and camping. After a year, I can say that it has both impressed and disappointed me. On the positive side, it has the most versatile blade pattern of any outdoor knife I have ever used. Plus, I'm impressed with the steel and the low maintenance blade finish. But, as other reviewers have noted, the handle is disappointing. It is too short and narrow for my taste. The sheath is also a disappointment; it's fine functionally, but looks rough and cheap. I give the blade itself 5 stars, but the handle only rates 3 and the sheath 2. If Kershaw would add a half-inch to the length and a quarter-inch to the girth of the handle, this would be one of the better medium-sized fixed blade knives in its price range.
