Description
KS1120: 1120 Taskmaster Shears
Kershaw Knives

A MUST-HAVE HOME TOOL

You will be amazed at the many uses for the multi-purpose Taskmaster Shears. Of course, they cut things. In the kitchen, use them to snip herbs, trim asparagus, cut up tortillas, trim beans, open food packages, cut cheesecloth or waxed paper, trim flowers—you get the idea. In other areas of the house, they're handy for cutting cord, twine, or rope, opening packages or envelopes, and lots more. But Kershaw's Taskmaster Shears really are multi-purpose tools.

There's a built-in nutcracker, a jar opener, a bone notch (also very handy when trimming flower stems), a lid lifter, and even two screwdriver tips, one in each handle. They're great for tightening a loose screw in the kitchen cabinet without having to go to the garage to find a screwdriver.

Taskmaster Shears have one blade serrated so they can easily cut through even tough or fibrous materials. A non-slip plastic over-mold on the handles makes them comfortable to use as well. And what could make these already handy tools even handier? The blades separate for easy cleaning, then lock together easily and securely for use.
Features
  • Multi-function - Has multiple blades or tools, enabling it to perform multiple functions.
  • Scallop Serration - Serrations assist in cutting through particularly tough or fibrous material, such as rope or cord. The scalloped serration offers even cutting power on both push and pull strokes and doesn't "tear" the material as much as other serration styles.

Disappointed with these Shears
These Shears were purchased to replace my BUCK pair which mysteriously disappeared, I still have the Leather Sheath they came with which I keep this pair in, however, these are far inferior in performance to my BUCK pair. Unfortunately BUCK doesn't make them anymore and no amount of searching on the Net turns up a previously owned pair; People who bought THAT pair don't give them up! These are a very poor substitute.

Kitchen shears you can't live without
I suppose that most of us have had the experience of trying to cut the backbone out of a chicken - or worse yet a goose or turkey - with poor quality shears. It is hard on the hands, hard on the shears, and often results in a mangled bird. The Kershaw 1120 cuts through chicken bones almost effortlessly. The blades are very sharp and very sturdy. The handles are comfortable and easy to use. And the hinge pin is far enough in from the handles that it provides good leverage. The Kershaw 1120 is, without a doubt, the best kitchen shears I've ever owned.

best kitchen shears
I'm got these for Christmas many years ago. They came up missing and I couldn't live without them, so ordered my new ones. They perform all my kitchen requirements from opening packages to trimming fat, to cutting chicken parts. They are comfortable to use. They come apart for cleaning. I routinely washed my old ones in the dishwasher with no ill effects. Love them.
