KS1790: 1790 Turbulence Assisted Stonewashed Folder
Kershaw Knives
Lots of time and effort went into the design of the Kershaw Turbulence giving it superior ergonomics similar to the PackRat model. The stonewashed finish on the blade is beautiful and the knife locks up solidly with the thumbstuds acting as a blade stopper because they're really to small to use. A reversible clip with three carry options secures the knife to you pocket or belt without worry.

The Turbulence features an incredible ergonomic grip and SpeedSafe® assisted opening. Kershaw’s exclusive Sandvik 14C28N stainless-steel blade is stonewash-finished and paired with a finger-contoured and textured G-10 handle to ensure an ultimately secure grip. Access the SpeedSafe® assisted opening with the built-in thumbstud or the convenient Flipper. Designed by Tim Galyean, the Turbulence offers modified tactical styling in a convenient size.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: None
This is a very nice knife for the money. Both Kershaw and CRKT make great economically priced EDCs. Sharp and smooth, it also feels good in the hand. Looks good too. I recently purchased a much more expensive knife from ZT and the pocket clip snapped off within a few days of carrying it. I've never had that happen with any of my less expensive CRKT, Kershaw or Cold Steel knives.

Amazing price at KC.
I got mine on sale at Knife Center - it was a "steal" for a USA made, 3.25", speed safe, Kershaw. I was hoping that this would compliment my Junkyard Dog 2.2 as an alternate EDC. I like flippers . The handle shape fits my hand very well; its a tad bit shorter than i prefer but there is still enough "pomel" sticking out to be useful if you need it. The clip looks nice but would be better if it were a simple clip w/ deep carry . Jimping on the choil/liner lock and thumb ramp would be nice. With that said if you like this design: keep your eyes out for the ZT 0770CF. The ZT version addresses all of those niggles and adds carbon fiber scales. (Of course you'll pay a ton more but it is a ZT.)
