KS3100: 3100 Grant County
Kershaw Knives

The Grant County is one of Kershaw’s original Officer Ranch knives. Like its brothers, this little work knife was born and proven on Pete Kershaw’s ranch in eastern Oregon. This is the one that can carry in the fifth pocket of your jeans, in a shirt pocket, in a fanny pack, or any small storage spot. Pull out to quickly cut through cord, open a package, or even break down a box.

The Grant County is the smallest of our Officer Ranch knives and offers a 1 7/8-inch blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The steel provides a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance, while the swaged clip-point blade provides an aggressive point for piercing tasks, and enough belly for smaller slicing tasks as well. The handle is stainless steel inlaid with cross-grooved ABS inserts on both sides for a secure grip under a wide variety of environmental conditions.

The lock back design is extremely sturdy and keeps the blade securely in place when in use. To release it, the user must depress the locking mechanism on the back of the handle. The Grant County is drilled to accept a lanyard so your blade is always close at hand when you need it. When you want a knife that’s ranch tough and ranch dependable, the right choice is one of our Officer Ranch knives—even if it's the smallest of the bunch.

The original locking mechanism. It can be found mid spine or at the bottom of the handle, and it provides tight lockup that will wear well.

Very nice small pocket knife
Had to have this one to complete having all four of this style. Have a Black Gulch thats cleaned lots of deer and hogs over the years and all i've ever used is a steel to bring the edge back, 20 years and it's sharp enough to shave with, never used a stone, It don't get no better than that boys and girls. Buy a Kershaw, take care of it and you'll loose it before you wear it out. Best knives i've ever owned and I'm 65 yrs old and still buying 'em.

Using this knife for years
I lose these occasionally (airport, etc) but replace it with the same Kershaw Grant County each time. Small enough to carry in the bottom of my pocket, large enough to get the job done.
