First if all I'd like to tell you that I'm no expert of knife. I bought this knife to bring it wherever I go in case anything happened. I like the build quality, robust enough for me, but it could be improved, the handle feel "plastic" although it isn't. The weight is perfect, the size is easy to concealed as well, ussually it fits in my side pocket for quick access. The blade is sharp, and the spring assisted system works well. I recommend this knife for those who are fairly new to knife buying

Good Value in an Assisted Foler
I use this knife for everyday carry when working outdoors or in the shop. Prior to this purchase I had never owned an assisted opening knife like this. The knife appears well made. The fit and finish are good. So far the black blade does not appear to scratch easily. One small strike against the Volt II -- the design of the pocket clip protrudes slightly and you can occasionally scrape your hand when you brush against it while in your pocket. Overall I'm pleased with the knife and would get another if this one were lost.
