KS3840: 3840 FreeFall
Kershaw Knives

The Kershaw FreeFall is a tactically styled blade and a palm-gripping, ergonomic handle. The blade is a modified tanto with a hollow-ground and slightly curved belly for versatile cutting. The tanto tip is flat-ground for strength. 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with an easy-care stonewashed finish provides high performance at an affordable price.

The handle is contoured to fit the palm and is partially embossed with Kershaw's K-Texture™ grip for an extra secure hold. Heavy jimping on the blade back and on the lower part of the backspacer add to the grip power of this handsome knife. The backspacer has a built-in lanyard hole that's wide enough to accommodate thicker lanyards.

The FreeFall also has a reversible and adjustable deep-carry clip. A screw on the knife butt enables you to mount the clip for left- or right-handed carry. It also lets you move the clip closer or further from the handle for a tighter or looser fit and makes it easy to accommodate thicker pocket materials like denim. Custom touches like that, combined with tactical styling and a comfortable hand-fit, make the FreeFall an easy choice for tough piercing tasks as well as for every day carry.
  • Flipper - May be used on either manual or assisted opening knives. The flipper" is a protrusion on the back of the blade that the user can pull back on, or flip, in order to move the blade easily out of the handle.
  • SpeedSafe® - Assists you to open any SpeedSafe® knife quickly and easily with a manual push on the thumbstud or pull back on the flipper; built into many Kershaw best sellers.
  • Liner Lock - Locks the blade open during use; one side of the knife’s steel "liner," the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Ease of Opening, Lock Type, Weight, Sheath, Handle Feel, Blade Material
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, None
Butter smooth deployment, just like the knives that cost x10 the $dosh! Factory sharp, with clean edges, its better than ive seen on others!! Fit'n'Finsih is A1*****10/10!!! Weights nice, just enough to feel good but not enough to pull down your dacks. Also the deep carry is the best! +1 KnifeCentre for delivery and bonus with coupon at checkout, Nice1... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, even my knife-snob mate when he saw my post admitted id be pleased with mine as he had bought 4 for his grandkids previous! Before this I thought a knife had to cost a kidney to be quality, now i know how wrong i was! The ONLY thing is it does not have a close lock for safety. Wish it did as it opens like lightening and its got a wicked blade, sharp as satan and a point to do either a LOT of work or damage if it deployed by mistake in my pocket. Only time will tell, might be worry about nothing but it deployed so well, its actually a worry - so just take care!

Pros: Ease of Opening, Pocket Clip, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
Folks, for your hard-earned money, you absolutely cannot find a better folding knife anywhere! Blade steel, yes, is cheap, but it is GOOD! The blade shape (modified tanto) is super. I love "flipper" opening knives. Clip location??? There is NO better place for the clip than on the very end. Puts ALL the knife in your pocket.

best everyday carry knife
This was my very best everyday carry knife, I never left my home with out it. I used it at work, it once fell from a distance of 30 ft in the air, I picked it up not a single scratch on the blade very robust blade, it's easy to sharpen it, I bought it once and here I am buying a second one, some idiot broke into my car and stoled my knife while I was at a bar having a few drinks.
