KSEDM0750: EDO 9" Honing Steel (EDM0750)
The Shun Edo line is named for the ancient name of Japan's capital city, Tokyo. Like Tokyo itself, the Edo line combines exciting modern design with traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
Use the Shun Edo Honing Steel to hone your knives, that is, to gently realign the cutting edge of your Shun cutlery, which is naturally unaligned as you use the knife. While fine European knives can require honing after each use, Shun's harder steel means you can hone just once a week or so, depending on your level of use. The Shun Honing Steel has a built-in angle on the handle, which makes it easy to hone your knives to the correct 16° Shun angle. The premium walnut pakkawood handle provides a secure grip and matches the handles of the rest of the beautiful Shun Edo line.
- Ergonomically contoured pakkawood handles curved to fit the hand for a comfortable and secure grip
- Embossed endcap with the Shun logo helps balance the blade and completes the beautiful look
- Weight: 8.9 oz.
- Limited lifetime warranty
Provides a traditional, natural look and feel to a modern tool. Wood absorbs shock well and is popular in axe handles.
