KUKI5404A2: Ki5404A2 V3 Magnum Folding Knife, Black G10
Kizer Cutlery

"Veni, Vidi, Vici" - those immortal words of Julius Caesar were the inspiration for the V3 model line. It was the model that established Kizer as a force to be reckoned with in today's knife market. The Kizer V3 Magnum flipper is a sleek yet large everyday carry (EDC). The handles are made from black G10 and rainbow anodized titanium with a unique textured pattern that is not only great to look at but provides outstanding grip. The slender design of the knife allows it to easily fit in your pocket and the reversible tip-up or tip-down pocket clip means you can customize this flipper just the way you want it. The blade is crafted from CPM-S35VN stainless steel with a brushed satin finish. S35VN is a high-grade steel with exceptional edge retention and wear resistance. The flipper features a frame lock, two thumb studs for one-handed opening, lanyard hole, a flipper tab with mild jimping, and moderate jimping on the spine.

Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machines to cut the parts. This method is slower than laser or water jet but feel quality is worth the wait. Each component in Kizer knives are precision machined and engineered to the finest tolerances. The final fit, finish, action, and sharpness of each knife is achieved entirely by hand, employing the irreplaceable craftsmanship developed by generations of cutler masters. Dedicated craftsman honoring the long-term goal of making the best knives possible is what Kizer brings to you.

Prime Series

The Prime series grew out of the Kizer team's love of knives. These designs share the same material and production method as the Bladesmith series but use more internally inspired designs. They believe that the customer will find some truly unique and ever-changing designs in the Kizer Prime products.

Bold, ambitious, and built with uncompromising quality. Take pride in the Kizer Prime series. No matter where you are, always expect the unexpected. When others rely on you to keep them safe, rely on Kizer's Prime series to perform as reliably as its flawless worksmanship. Always be at the ready, and Kizer's Prime knives will add an elegant final touch!

S35VN
A tougher steel than S30V, it retains the excellent corrosive properties and ability to take an edge, but improves on the ability to hold that edge.

G10 Handles
Formed in a sheet under high pressure by combining fiberglass and an epoxy resin binder. These handles are lightweight and shaped to ensure a solid grip.

Pros: Handle Material, Blade Material, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
Impressive, terrific value for $$
Everything I was hoping for in a quality knife. Even though it is made in China, I do believe it satisfies and dispels some quality concerns. Excellent feel in my hand, good weight distribution, comfortable deployment, and terrific blade build make this a very satisfying purchase for the sale price advertised. Great overall value. I can't directly compare with very similar (i.e., blade and handle material) brands costing 2x or 3x more, but suspect I would not be disappointed in such a direct comparison.

Nice starter knife
Big blade and I like it! Overall quality is excellent but the finer details like pocket clip and ease of opening. It's not a ZT 0560 or XM 18 but very good at 1/2 and 1/4 the price respectively. Watch out American and European knife makers, Kizer is looking to take a piece of the market!

Killer knife but...
Just a great knife for the $$. Almost as good as a custom made knife. But....the pocket clip design on this one is a fail. Only 1 screw. After a month or so the clip gets loose and starts spinning on the one screw. You can tighten it all you want but it will never work because of the design. I have tightened it 10 or more times and it just gets loose again. It needs 2 screws or a tab to keep it from turning.
