About LamsonSharp™
Lamson & Goodnow, maker of LamsonSharp™ cutlery, is the oldest cutlery manufacturer in the United States. Lamson & Goodnow was established in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts in 1837, and rapidly became the premier cutler in the United States.

But as the American passion for home and hearth grew, so did Lamson & Goodnow.

In 1999, Lamson & Goodnow purchased TreeSpirit™, a company that handcrafts professional-quality hardwood cutting boards, bowls, kitchen utensils, and kitchen care products.

HotSpot™ silicone for the home was added to the Lamson & Goodnow family of brands in 2002. Unusual at the time, silicone is now regarded as a staple of the modern kitchen for its high heat resistance, superior flexibility, and nonstick properties.

Cons: Overall Quality
practical
not much to say. it is a turner. Seems to be well made, although if you were grading it on fit and finish, you would find it very basic and lacking a bit in that dept. Rough edges on the wood, and the metal is not nicely finished. However, it is not intended as a show piece so, for the price, it is more than adequate.

Disappointed; handles have rough, unfinished quality
Hi!!! I bought one of these turners when I was first married and loved it. Now, 7-yrs-later my husband suggested that I should get a few more... because I use this turner all the time. Upon receiving these, I noticed immediately that their handles are inferior to the one I purchased years ago. They are rough and feel as if you could splinter your hand on them. I tried to add a bit of oil to them to see if this would diminish their roughness... however, in a few days they have returned to the feeling of rough sandpaper again. I have thought about returning them to the KnifeCenter but wonder if it is worth my while. I remain disappointed. However, the blade part is still very similar to the one I love. I just wish the handles were the same quality that I grew to expect from LamsonSharp. This will impact my decision to buy a product from them in the future.
