LSLKN111: Responder Urban Tactical EDC Knife
Lansky Knives and Sharpeners
The KnifeCenter knows Mikkel Willumsen and we have admired and sold his custom and semi-custom knives for some time. He teamed with Lansky to release these economically priced folders. We feel that this knife may be underpriced, however. People see the low price tag and think it has a low real value. Well, we beg to differ. These folders are really nice. They feel like products that sell for three times their price. In fact, the design of the knives is so awesome , it is much like his custom models. They fit great in the hand with your natural grip leaving your thumb right on top of the blade back, giving a really good working position. The belly (curved cutting edge) of the blade is then positioned perfectly to do serious work. These are full size pocket knives.

Materials seem really nice as well with G10 handles that are perfectly machined giving a solid gripping surface without being too much like sand paper. The pocket clip can be positioned for tip-down carry if desired. The blade is 440C which is a good material for most uses, although not a premium steel. But - have you seen the price of this knife? These knives are really a chance for economy buyers to use a very highly designed, modern folding pocketknife.
The Responder Quick Action Knife is an EDC (Every Day Carry) sized version of the Responder X9. Ballistic glass filled nylon scales are easy on the pockets, while the thumb hole and flipper allow for lightning quick deployment. Knife features a stout liner lock mechanism, nice flipping action, and very ergonomic shape. A little bit thick in the hand but that also gives you a stout feeling when using the design. The belly is positioned exactly where you need it for extreme cutting tasks, this is one amazing design at an incredible price.

Mikkel Willumsen has gained notoriety worldwide for his innovative and gritty Urban Tactical designs. Based in a repurposed factory in Copenhagen, Denmark, Mikkel has been designing and producing custom made knives for over 10 years, specializing in high quality folders and fixed blades. By bringing his talents and experience to Lansky, you can expect the functionally modern aesthetics that define his work, combined with Lansky Sharpeners’ unwavering dedication to quality.

Pros: Blade Material, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Handle Material, Pocket Clip, None
love the knife,hate the clip
great ergonomics and style to this knife, great flipper system, but the pocket clip design combined with the handle material make the clip useless, I can't use this knife as an edc because it's difficult and painful to use the clip, when you get it into your pocket, you'll have to pull really hard to get the knife out,it won't happen fast.

Great price point EDC.
- Excellent ergonomics - Fit/finish exceeded my expectations. - Effortless deployment with no wrist flick needed. - Carries well Highly recommend this knife especially at this price. It does have 440c so sharpening will be needed more often but it will take an edge with minimal effort. The design is different but ergonomics are well thought out and feels good in any position. Great for normal EDC or defensive applications.

good and bad
Great design, way to heavy for a EDC pocket knife. When you grip the handle the flipper digs into you finger. If I knew the weight I would have picked something else. Look me up on facebook, I make THE smallest EDC knife. Thanks
