Pros: Blade Sharpness, Pocket Clip, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Blade Material, Weight, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Not just a costly novelty.
I am a huge Fam of Lone Wolf Knives(prior to Benchmade buying them out). I have 3 knives from them and I enjoy the fact that they did not go cheap on any part of the knives. Blade material: CPM s30v(came out of the box hair cutting SHARP), Handle scales: checkered G-10(done right, has enough grip to do the job, but not to shred my pockets), Phospher-bronze, and possible G-10 spacer on the spine. There are a few things I noticed. When the blade arrived it was already in the open position due to the tension lever engaging. The locking mechanism for the tension lever had to be broken in to get a strong lock the lever in the closed position. After many times of using the auto open and manually closing the knife the mechanics started working properly. Do to the double action the pocket clip is not reversible for lefties, the blade can only be position for tip-down carry. There is no lanyard hole. I enjoy the blade shape, but know it will be a little tricky to sharpen. With this matieral it shouldn't need much. The thumb hole is somewhere between sucks and at least if works. Lone Wolf needs to stick with their thumb studs. Now those puppies work. The auto action is freaking fast, and locks up like a rock. No blade play on this knife. I put it at a 4 star just because I had to break in the tension lever for it to work properly. Other then that this will be one of my tactical folding knives for out in the field and overseas. I have no problems opening it up with gloves(w/ the auto) it you like fhis knife I would recommend the Lone Wolf Longhorn(manual) or the Double Duty Warrior(it's the longhorn in an auto form). I have the Longhorn (my favorite, I'm passing that knife down to the kids), and the blackfoot(gear little brother of the longhorn.
