Model MCU12: Mcusta MC-1 Series Basic Folder w/ Black Micarta Handle
MCUSTA knives are made in Seki City, Japan and are the pinnacle of this synthesis between traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern cutting edge technology.
MCUSTA does not use the conventional method of die stamping their blades like most mass produced knives. Components are laser cut and C&C machined to assure the best possible precision fit. This is an important step in the production of a superior blade. Each knife is then hand assembled and hand finished and inspected by MCUSTA's team of craftsmen. This process creates a superior knife at a reasonable price.
MCUSTA, which stands for Machine Custom Knives, are among the finest production knives made anywhere in the world!
The Basic series Folders have a simple elegant design with contoured finger grooves, easy one hand opening liner lock mechanism and exotic handle materials. Each knife has a specially designed, Teflon washer system for silky smooth additional knives are hand finished. The MC1 Series have an integral pocket clip and are slimmer.

deserves attention
I have a pretty extensive collection of folding production knives, benchmade,al mar, spyderco, etc. I recently took notice of these Mcusta styles (they make others besides those advertised here). I took a shot and purchased their TACTICALITY model its a full sized knife with laminated vg10 damascus blade and cocobolo slabs.an absolutly beautiful knife, excellent fit and finish. instead of the phospher bronze washers seen in other better knives, they use a teflon washer. extremely smooth and slick. a serious liner lock, locks up great. most models have thumb studs, but there are some with spyderco style holes. I've since ordered two more different Mcusta pieces, very happy with all of them. they deserve a second look, I don't think you'll be disapointed
