Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
8CR13 Stainless Steel
8CR13 Stainless Steel
Considered a value steel, 8Cr13 steel provides adequate corrosion resistance but with slightly more carbon than AUS-8, it will sharpen up and hold an edge better.
G10 Handles
G10 Handles
Formed in a sheet under high pressure by combining fiberglass and an epoxy resin binder. These handles are lightweight and shaped to ensure a solid grip.

Great Knife, Great Value
I have been considering this knife for a long time, maybe just to collect, or keep in a vehicle for emergency, but I didn't know what to expect from Myerco. This is a thick blade that shaves arm hair (and plenty of it) with both sides of the blade. It is solid-a serious, fairly big knife. And the sheath is leather as advertized, not cheap or ugly cordura. I don't plan on sticking any hogs, but the knife is sufficiently inexpensive that I might actually use it.

Well worth the money
While I actually bought this as more of a beater knife for camping rather than hunting hogs, I find it to be very well made and refined for such an inexpensive piece. The knife came very sharp on both sides, and feels very comfortable in the hand. The only downfall of this knife is it's extremely low quality sheath. It's very apparent how Meyerco manages to keep the cost so low on this knife. The sheath is something you'd expect to find on a $10 flea-market knife.

initioal impressions.
This review is only an initial look over this knife as I as yet have not used it in the field.Out of the box the knife oozes personality, just light the designer, Mr Lightfoot. The knife feels good in the hand and is quite heavy. The steel appears of good quality with no odd marks or indents. I mespecially like the top cut blade, this being designed for " pig sticking" so the upward movement will assist. The handle is comfortable and overall I really like this knife and have added it to my favourites list.
