Pros: Lock Type, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Material, Weight, Ease of Opening, None
Cons: Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, Pocket Clip
No Frilly Frills Just a Solid Chunk of Man Metal
I must admit, at first sight I was a bit disappointed looked at the cheap Chinese blister pack and I realized this knife was much thicker and chunkier than I thought it would be. (About 1/2"). I remembered what I paid for it, opened it anywayand I was pleasantly surprised to find a flick of the lever rocketed out a massively thick blade that locks up quick and solid as a fixed blade. The blade is almost 1/4" thick straight to the swedged tip. Handle is super solid yet lightweight. This is not a discreet, elegant gentleman's knife. This is a brute of a tool and the blade is more like a chisel with a steep grind. No good for shaving, but unbeatable for gnarly chopping and prying for a folder.Pocket clip rides high and is unmovable, the only design feature I really dislike. I drilled and mounted my own.A little rough around the edges on finish but all the function is there, I'd like to see a bit more refinement in the handle and grind, but a good value for this innovative and useful design. Buy one for the collection and one for the toolbox.
