UNFINISHED CUTOUT EDGES ARE SHARP WHERE THEY SHOULD BE SMOOTH
I have owned one of these knives (exact same model) for many years, and bought a 2nd one to have as a spare. The original knife is still as sharp as ever. I use it for slicing cheese and tomatoes. When I washed the new knife in the same manner I have always washed my original knife, I cut my thumb on one of the cutout holes. Upon closer examination, I discovered that all surfaces of the cutout holes are unfinished and sharp, where they should be smooth. I took a file and smoothed all of the cutout edges so that I will not cut myself on them again. I did not have this problem with my original knife. Sounds like the manufacturer has been cutting corners and skipping important steps in the manufacturing process. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN WASHING AND HANDLING THIS KNIFE. IT IS SHARP IN PLACES THAT SHOULD BE SMOOTH.
