Description
MNTMF1: MF-1 Pry Bar
Mantis Knives

Mantis Knives describes this item as follows:

This tactical fixed blade knife was inspired by the boys at the Multi Jurisdictional ERT out in Kokomo, Indiana. This tool rounds out the MANTIS line as our very largest blade. At 9.5”, its exotic grind lines and random divot symmetry give the “Pry Bar” its wild style. Trust me when I say that this knife has been though it all. It’s been used for tasks that knives should never be used for, yet the MF-1 prevails.

Pros: Materials, Handle Material, Finish, None
Cons: Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality, Weight, Blade Material, Sheath/Scabbard
not the best
The knife has a nice form, but the blade is not able to keep an edge. The sheath has a belt adaption, but is not very sturdy, and does not hold the knife when wrapped in paracord. They nearly lost me as a customer, and after i saw that the material of the blade was very weak, they lost me all together. If you are reading this, i would avoid purchasing this blade.

Good, could be better
Nice design, looked good out of the box. I wrapped the handle in paracord, might make micarta scales for it. Two reasons for the 3 rating: The edge was no better than that of the average butter knife; unsat for a firm trying to break into the big league. And the sheath: Awful! What is the function of the black clip and tiny strap? Looks like a pouch in pictures but seems to be a decoration in person. And only one real carry option. Again, unsat for an up-and-coming firm.

Solid knife
This is a well thought out knife and extremly durable. Used it for hacking saplings and then sharpened it right up with a stone. The skeleton handle begs for paracord and wrapping it is cut and dry. If you do not know how visit youtube for numerous instructions. The blade could have been sharper out of the box but companies seem to be leaving that up to the owner more often so no big deal. The blade sharpened right up with a stone. The sheath is junk plain and simple. Not very durable considering the blade it is holding. Look for something better. 5 Stars for the Knife. 1 Star for the sheath.
