MWKDD2014LE1: Duane Dwyer/Mikkel Willumsen Custom Collaboration 1
Mikkel Willumsen Knives
Mikkel Willumsen makes frame lock folders big and solid because that's the way he likes them. Duane Dwyer, co-owner of Strider Knives, has come up with some of the best hard use designs ever created. They've come together here for a limited collaboration run of only five knives featuring input from both designers and we're lucky enough to have two of them. The 3.5" blade is stunning Chad Nichols Damascus with the typical Strider spear point shape but with a larger upper swedge. The handle, well the entire knife in fact, is built around the design of the SNG with the exact same shape and exterior jimping, plus a beautiful Kevlar and lightning strike carbon fiber inlay. The contoured inlay is beefier than a normal scale providing hand filling grip for larger hands while being super durable. The pivot and handle screw are large torx screws and the silver pin fittings used to attach the pocket clip and inlay really add to the aesthetic beauty of this knife. It's a stunning, extremely limited custom piece that is sure to be the highlight of any collection.
