DescriptionMWKMMTYEL: Maddox Midtech, Hand Hollow Ground BladeMikkel Willumsen Knives
Mikkel Willumsen makes frame lock folders big and solid because that's the way he likes them. A large EDC folder has nearly all the same capabilities as a small one but the same cannot be said for the contrary. Mikkel's Urban Tactical style, motto, and trademarked name perfectly describes his intentions for each design. He uses the IKBS steelball bearing system for amazingly smooth and precise action. The handle is a wonder of ergonomics, it really contours to each and every curve of the hand and is precisely jimped for function without causing discomfort. This Mid-Tech Maddox folder is made from the same materials, with the same manufacturing quality as his Custom knives but the G10 scales are produced in batches, making it a Mid-Tech design. Usually the 4" CPM-154 blades are CNC machined to give you all those awesome grind lines but this limited batch of Maddox models feature hand hollow ground blades by Mikkel himself. It's amazing how sharp these are for such a thick (0.165") blade stock - it really speaks to the talent Mikkel has for edged weapons. The handle is features a solid Titanium lock with a layered black and yellow G10 face scale that is grooved for added traction and lightens up the weight ever so slightly. The pivot screw, handle screw, and thumb lugs are large silver anodized torx screws that really add to the aesthetic beauty of this knife. It's an ideal sized tactical folder built like a tank that will serve you well for years to come.
