Great light!!!! if you know the what it likes
I had mine for years now. I am in Law Enforcement so a good light is a big requirement. Main reason I a writing this review is for the Gentleman who wrote the first review. I to had this same issue, not at all happy about the burn rate of new batteries not to mention it not lasting to long on high beam (had to carry spare battery at all times). SOLUTION I bought 2 ICR rechargeable batteries 3.7v 750mAh. I had to call company to get to work (slightly different voltage, while flashlight was on I had to hold on button down while I unscrewed flashlight. Needed to reset the chip inside if i remember was long time ago years), but anyway became a perfect flashlight would last 10 times longer (at no cost after initial purchase of charger and batteries).. I can do a full 8 straight, 10 hours days shift cycle with life left. And after I would come home leave flashlight on to kill the battery and the put the dead one in charger put new one in and ready for another 8 days. Being doing this for years now. Best light I ever owned.

I want to like this light
i like it's size, power, construction. i get used to it's control steps. however, every time i go to use it, the battery is dead! i work days now, but when i go into a dark room every now and again, my life kind of depends on having a good light that will turn on... the batteries are not cheap, and i can't go changing it at the moment i need it. this should be a great light. maybe i'm using it incorrectly. my model is the EDC 120T. i've had it for a while and it's always done this. i keep seeing reviews like this too. wish they could fix this, or correct me.

lowering cost... still too expensive
I rate Novatac 1(poor) I would rate it zero (for stupid electronics) Well... Bought the P model (made in usa > 160$) ... Full of useless stuff, regulation of this and of that, over charged of bulky --. Nice on the paper, but in real EDC situation> it sucks! (sucks because a lot of parasite drainage, sucks because maximum Lumens can last 10mn max, sucks because it is regulated as a "starecase", etc...) NO MANUAL CONTROL OF THE LIGHT. It's an expensive gadget. My advice > Buy a "real" Made in China led light"> Buy a Fenix ! I still use the first generation L1P not regulated... Still working. Now, I use a LD10. Simple, efficient... And affordable too.
