No frills classic worker
For the money, My go to outdoor blade. First knowing some personal refinement was necessary for this knife before use is IMO a plus. To get it exactly right I soak the handle, tang, 1/2 inch of blade in molten beeswax until they reach equal temp. sealing up all spaces for water to enter. Leather soaks up wax, darkens and seals while giving slightly tacky grip once dry. needs sharpening and sheath likes to be snow sealed. all in all you take care of her and she will be there when you need her. I have used an original issue AFSK that was older than me and the only real difference was sheath and years of conditioning. Like a ball cap it takes some wearing in but over time will be the one you reach for.
