An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

12" Ontario Camper Machete
This product is very useful in our business, in fact, it is the only machete that we can use for the close-in work done by our employees. Our employees have to trim branches off of small alder trees and need a knife that protects their hands and at the same time turns and trims fast and well. Being able to find this machete online has helped to expedite our ability to get the equipment that we need for our business.

Just needs a little something more...
Very happy with the "D-guard" and the textured grip additions. Needs the sawback spine and a sheath to come with it. Do they really think we wander through the woods with this big blade just flopping around on a neck-cord?????????

machetes with 12 inch blade
This machete is just what we were looking for to use in our business. The sharpness and length of the blade were very important as well as the enclosed handle for hand protection. Our crew was very glad to get the machetes and we will be buying more.
