ON8644: 125th Anniversary RTAK II
Ontario Knife Company
The 125th Anniversary Ontario RTAK II is a super large survival knife featuring a 10-1/4" blade made of 5160 carbon steel with black powder coating. The thick Micarta handle is removable for cleaning. This knife is large enough for any task you put it to! The sheath is a deluxe Nylon combat type system with a pocket on the front and plastic liner for the blade. Improvements on this model over the now discontinued RTAK I include a better finish on the blade, better guard built into the handle design and overall superior fit and finish.

The Ontario RTAK II is a survival / utility knife designed by the professional survival training team Randall's Adventure & Training (RAT) and manufactured exclusively by Ontario Knife Co. Designed for: Wilderness Survival - Military Operations - Law Enforcement - Utility Use - Hunting, and any other task requiring a sheath knife comfortable enough to be carried full time.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Blade Material, Materials
Cons: Finish, Blade Sharpness, None
Wicked Blade
Works great as a big, mean camp knife. Blade length allows for batoning of decent sized logs. Chops adequatly for its weight/length ratio. Balance at the top of the handle. Sharpness out of the box - below adequate in my opinion. Most production blades are sharpened way below their true potential as it adds cost. This is that case here as well. It not dull by any means, it has a good working edge, cuts paper well as the grind is even. wood work is also fine. Can't comment on the choil as I always carry at least 2 knives. As with the regular RTAK II, fit and finish on the handle is good overall but the scales stick out a tiny bit from the finger side of the handle. I wear Medium gloves and the grip is solid. Sheath is a master piece for the price of this package. Huge improvement over the regular model. Good kydex/plastic insert. No rattle at all. Huge velcro an outstading closure on the belt , enables mounting to an already worn belt. Can't comment on the steel as OKC doesnt specify whenever its 5160 or 1095, and different sources state otherwise. Not knowing which one is it I can say that edge holding is really good. No chipping or rolling while splitting through multiple knots and hitting a frozen surface. Still cuts paper the same way after three outings. In that price range, for the sheath and blade you get, highly recommended.
