1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Kydex Sheath
Kydex Sheath
Waterproof, scratch resistant, and low friction. It will hold its shape and makes a great alternative to leather.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Weight, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, Finish
Pretty Sharp!
I purchased the Little Bird hoping for a small knife to use as a pocket carry or neck knife. The finger grooves position my finger next to the rear edge of the blade causing cuts on my index finger. I've had to file the rearmost 1/8th" to give it a dull edge to prevent this. Also, the Kydex™ sheath does not have a retention indent to keep the knife in the sheath securely, rather the knife must be forced into the sheath for a tight friction fit. This holds the knife securely. So secure, in fact that you must forcefully remove the knife raising the danger of cutting yourself. The knife has no lanyard hole which would make things much safer using and removing the knife from the sheath. The edge is sharp and it's quite a cool little knife. If you can live with the above flaws, this may be for you. One other thing, this is a great thirty dollar knife... for fifty bucks.

Tiny Tough Reliable
Ontario Knife Company is known for great quality knives and this is no exception to the rule. I personally have employed the ...
