Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Finish, Handle Material, Weight, Blade Material
better than KA-BAR
Ontario knives made knives for the marines along with KA-BAR during WWII. I say it's better than KA-BAR because of the rubber handle material and the sheath. First the sheath, it has a leather outside and is made if nylon with is good for semi damp environments and wear resistance, it also makes for a far more sturdier sheath than the KA-BAR leather sheath. The sheath has a shoe lace on the bottom ring so you can tie it around your leg to keep it from moving around alot. The handle has more grip than leather in your hand in dry and especially wet conditions. The KA-BAR pummell is held together with an aluminium pin so you cant easily use it as a hammer. On the OKC SP1 you can but I wouldn't build a house with it, more for tent pegs. But you cant beat the tradition of the KA-BAR, im just saying the SP1 is better for reliability.
