Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Pros: Finish, Overall Quality, Handle Material, Blade Material
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Great bang for the Buck
Yeah the sheath is semi crappy ( retainer strap failed in 5 minutes easy fix) no it is not that sharp out of the box. However do you want a knife this big razor sharp ?? Really ?? I mean this will be used to split firewood , hack weeds , kill snakes , hammer tent poles and you get to use the famous Dundee line " Thats not a knife .. thats a knife" If you dont need to cut something you can beat it to pieces. Look at what other blades this size and quality cost,,,, this is a bargain. Anvil tough and fairly easy to sharpen.

Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Great product and sharp as hell out of the package. Figured we would test it out and we stuck it through the driver door of a honda accord rice rocket. No problems there, maybe the dude will quit trying to drift in the neighborhood. Bitchen blade guys... Thanks a grip knife center.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Weight, Blade Material
Cons: None
beautifully practical
I have carried my SP-10 into the wilds for over ten years. I have used it for everything from cutting down a tree to filleting a fish. I have never had to do more than touch up the edge to maintain a razor sharp edge (you could shave with this knife). It is a bit heavy for an ultralight camper but if you want one knife you can bet your life on, this is it. Very much worth the price.
