An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Pros: Weight, Handle Material, Overall Quality
Cons: None
tough camp knife
This is an awesome knife for anything other than skinning and dressing ,cutting vegies....not its purpose...sharp out of box sheath isn't pretty but is as tough as knife ..sharpen top edge and its ready to rock, opens cans, holds up to bush craft abuse, holds edge well under normal use, sharpens easy, well balanced not to big/ heavy...a steal at 38 bucks for a domestic made hardware. BUY IT!

Ontario SP2
I like the knife it is made well and should hold up in the field well, as I did go out to one of my area's puplic lands and tried it out for trail, Hunting use, not to skin with. and it worked just fine, just needs to be sharpened a little more, although the saw back is not effective on anything bigger than a quarter inch thick. But I would reccomend this knife to anyone.
