An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Materials, Overall Quality, Handle Material, Finish, Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
Great Utility Blade
This blade is a beast, great for limbing trees, splitting firewood, digging, and prying. The serrations on the back of the blade are pointless; that would be a place for improvement, either a more functional blade or nothing. Very happy with the machete, out of the box it's quality was immediately noticeable.

Pros: Weight, Sheath/Scabbard
Cons: None
Great Chopper
This machete is very solid. when i first picked it up i noticed it was much heavier than my other machetes and i like that. Its very thick and and hold up to alot of punishment. also the sheath is high quality. overall a great buy.

4.5 star product
This knife/machete is great at wood processing but not so great at slicing through small vines, or limbs, but what do you expect its .25" thick. It is a great wood processor but the one thing keeping it from a 5 star product is that the first hard use i put mine through i noticed afterward that there were two small chips towards the end of the blade. Now im not saying that i didn't hit the dirt/whatever was in the ground, but i know i did not intentionally dig into said dirt, i just expected it to be able to withstand some normal tasks i would put a blade of this nature through without incident. overall this is a great blade and well worth the money just not a 5 star maybe a 4.5.
