Good tough knife.
This is a very stout knife. Mine needed a little TLC on the Micarta, This took about five minutes and some sandpaper. The edge was a little uneven, but smoothed out fine when I sharpened it.The steel is very good. It took a very keen edge, and after some batoning, whittling and food prep, it was still very sharp.This is a good size for general field/bushcraft use, though it is little heavy. The heft allows it to take much more abuse then its thinner brethren however. I love the handle shape and blade angle on this pattern. If you extend your arm out straight you notice the point is still out straight, rather than pulling up. This helps keep my hand from being fatigued during use despite this knife's heft.The sheath is not great, but I picked up a nice leather pouch type for it. The brown leather and tan Micarta look great together.1095 is great steel. Just oil it from time to time. For the money, I don't think you can beat it.
