Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Ease of Use, Weight, Blade Material
Cons: Ease of Opening, None
Best bang for the buck.
First of all, this is not a $100.00 folding knife. With that said, this is a very good knife. The quality of steel used is evidenced by the fact that it easily sharpens into a razor edge. The Opinel #6 is small and extremely light. You will hardly notice that it is in your pocket. The locking system on the Opinel locks the knife up solidly. I use this knife for everyday cutting chores and do not think you will find another knife with more bang for the buck.

Cons: None
A nice addition to the pocket.
My EDC is a Svord Peasant, a good hefty blade of carbon steel with. But there does come a time when a person needs a more delicate blade, especially in public. The Opinel #6 is great for this. I carry it in the inner watch pocket of my blue jeans, where it fits nice and out of sight. The carbon steel takes an edge that is scary sharp and holds it well even with every day use. I personally have had mine now for close to a month and have only sharpened it twice, and like my Peasant, it gets used daily. I really didn't care for the color of the wood handle, but with a little time and sandpaper revealed a beautiful grain pattern. With some stain and varnish the handle now is easily mistaken for bone at first glance. The lock ring can be a problem for people who know nothing about Opinel, so I strongly suggest if you purchase one do not let someone use it without first showing it to them. I've already let 2 people use it, and they continued trying to forcefully open the blade after they seen it would not open gently.

"It's a folding paring knife!"
At this price this is a 'must have". Ladies like them as an inoffensive purse knife, guys like the fact that you can buy a bunch of them for the toolkit, tackle box, hunting kit, car, workshop, survival kit,etc without going broke. The steel is good to excellent:will take & hold a razor edge. The lock is solid. My only complaint is that there is no locking 3" model.
