Love it
I carry this in my pocket every day. The weight is just right and the length of the cutting edge (2 1/2") is perfect for daily use. The traditional handle design with stag bone has much more character than the hundreds of modern soulless knives that have flat black synthetic materials for the handles. I made the edge bevel a sharper angle with diamond stones (coarse, fine, and extra fine) and a green chrome rouge strop block, and keep the blade oiled with camellia oil. A couple things that needed tuning: (1) It took 2 or 3 applications of oil to get the folding action working smoothly. I think there was a little metal grit leftover from the manufacturing that caused some scraping of the base of the blade (right near the pivot joint) when you open and close it. It's not a problem now. (2) The knife came with not enough material removed from the base of the blade, at the spot where it hits the inside of the handle when the knife is closed, so when closed, the tip of the blade stuck out 1/16" from being all the way closed. This was a definite hazard - easy to catch the tip and cut through your pocket cloth material or cut your hand, or even accidentally open by catching the tip of the blade. So I carefully filed down a little of the metal at the base of the blade until it would close all the way into the handle. Now it closes perfectly. For me, opening the blade is a 2-stage process: first, hold the knife in the left hand and pull the blade halfway open to a 90-degree position using the right thumb and the thumbnail indentation in the blade. The knife is designed to snap into a half-open position where the blade is 90 degrees to the handle. Then reposition the left hand to get a fuller grip on the entire handle and pull the blade fully open with the right thumb and index finger. The knife could be entirely opened all in one motion but it's easier for me with the 2-step process. Closing the blade also goes in 2 steps, since the blade likes to stop at the halfway-closed position before fully closing it. This just means I have to pay more attention when opening and closing the blade, but it's not a problem. After a few weeks of use, the bright shiny polish on the nickel silver bolsters is scuffed and tarnished, but rubbing hard on my shirt sleeve for a short time restores some of the shine. Also, the nice shiny finish on the blade has a few scratches from around-the-house use, but it doesn't affect the cutting edge. This knife is a user and I don't mind it showing the marks of everyday use. Overall, I love this knife and it's my EDC. I hope Queen comes out with this knife with an S30V blade, but D2 steel is great and I'm very happy with this knife.

This knife replace one like it from many years ago, I can't believe how it keeps a sharp edge

Great choice for everyday use
Very pleased after a month of use. It's the right size for carrying everyday. I had doubts about the stainless keeping an edge but this knife stays very sharp and I don't have to hassle with the care and feeding that carbon requires. One thing I would like to see is the standard lock release on the back of the handle versus the liner lock. I don't like my finger in the way when I am closing the knife. Not sure of that design choice - maybe that's the only option for smaller locking knives. I'm still giving an "excellent" because I figure in a couple more weeks it will be second nature.
