Cons:
Beautiful and solid
The quality of materials and the very clean finish makes this an enjoyable knife. The handle is long compared to the blade (the blade could be 1/4" longer) but this gives great leverage. It's consistent with the thick blade. The knife is a bit too heavy for EDC in the pocket. I regret noticeable lateral blade play and a relatively weak backspring for such a powerful knife. The blade was hardly sharpened out of the box. Needed a real reprofiling. I must still rank it 4 because of the excellent D2 steel and beautifully worked amber stag bone handle. It feels great in the hand and is very pleasant to use for everyday tasks.

Beautiful but slightly disappointing
The aesthetics are great and the fit and finish are right. Nothing more. Just right... because I have some difficulty to accept such a splendid knife can have lateral blade play. Just a hint, but this can only increase. The blade is hardly sharpened : over ground at the hilt (purpled) and non finished towards the tip. Not a major issue : I will regrind, resharpen and hone it. The excellent steel will make for a fine blade in the end. The design in itself is disappointing (but that's just me) : a very long and heavy handle for a relatively short blade ! What's the use ? The blade could be almost 1/2" longer ! Then, I would like the knife a lot more (with a strong spring at closing, not at opening, of course...)

Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
Single blade Queen folding hunter w/Honey Amber Bone
I am a former custom Knifemaker who has used D-2 and PGK tool steels in my folders. This is an excellently fitted knife with strong springs, and the grain structure of the blade is consistant with D-2 tool steel. Some folks will have a time sharpening this steel without using a diamond hone, both because of the hard carbides in D-2, and because it is ground only halfway up toward the spine, leaving a thick edge at the tip. This would be my only complaint, as the knife is lovely to look at, and to hold in the hand. The blade needs sharpening as it came to me. Stephen Bradley
