Description
RC4PUCMBBLK: ESEE-4P-UC-MB-BLK Uncoated Stonewashed Blade, MOLLE Back Sheath
ESEE Knives

This is the longer, thicker "wilderness" model of the popular ESEE-3 tactical knife. With its 3/16" thickness, full flat grind, rounded pommel, Micarta handles and light weight, it can serve as a primary backpacking and wilderness survival knife, or fitted to your modular system for duty carry in a tactical environment.

The un-coated knives are made from high carbon 1095 steel and shipped in a corrosion resistant bag. These knives will rust rapidly if not cared for. We suggest applying a patina to the blade or keep it wiped down with a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH.

Important: View this to properly attach a MOLLE back to MOLLE compatible gear. Failure to thread the MOLLE strap correctly may cause the snap to come apart!

1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Kydex Sheath
Kydex Sheath
Waterproof, scratch resistant, and low friction. It will hold its shape and makes a great alternative to leather.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Blade Material, Materials, Weight, Overall Quality, Finish
Cons: None
great quality, nice blade
I am looking forward to see patina on this uncoated 1095 carbon steel blade from some usage. The micarta scales are beautiful. I like knives like this because they have soul. But make no mistake; this knife is fit for some hard use. The kydex sheath fits great. And the MOLLE back makes it very versatile. However, this is more of a camp/survival/bushcraft type of knife as opposed to tactical/self defense (oh, did I say that?) The grip and the blade shape aren’t quite fit that purpose.
