Zancudo is Spanish for Mosquito but besides its compacts size, we cannot think of another similarity between this knife and the buzzing pest. The Zancudo was designed by the survival experts over at ESEE Knives, Mike Perrin and Jeff Randal, and was produced by Blue Ridge Knives. It's an amazingly slim, well built folder that you won't have a problem carrying and using every day. The framelock mechanism and FRN handle, with the solid, full length steel liners, provide serious strength to this small folder. The pocket clip is reversible but only set up for right hand carry and the knife weighs in at exactly three ounces. It's a folder we're very excited about here at the KnifeCenter because it gets almost everything right in a folding knife at a price point you're sure to be pleased with.

Zancudo is excellent high-value E.D.C.
These BRK folders, and the Ontario Rat folders, are simply the best folders that you can buy for $30.00. I have quite and few, and they are great. I'm a knife collector.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, Weight, Pocket Clip, None
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Ease of Opening
Awesome Knife
I carry this knife every day for general use. It cuts anything practical that I need it to with its razor sharp AUS 8 steel blade right out of the box. I love the size and weight and overall feel of this knife. The Zancudo is the perfect size for EDC in my opinion. The camo handle scale is a nice exclusive from Knife Center, and I think it looks great with the stonewash finish. The only thing I can say negative about the knife is that it can be a bit tough to open and close at times, but it does not bother me too much. The detent is pretty strong, but the knife does fling out with nice speed and power once you overcome it. It does get easier to manipulate after you break it in with some use. The pocket clip is very nice and the lockup on this knife is amazing! No blade play what so ever. This knife is very fun to hold, open, and close ("play with"). I still can't seem to put the Zancudo down since I've owned it. Very comfortable grip. Overall amazing knife. I recommend that you purchase this knife if you are looking for a cheap quality folder.

Terrific knife, but not perfect...
I have to start by saying I really love this knife and the more I carry it the more I like it. Love the digital pattern on the left side scale and the stonewash on the right side and blade, a really good looking knife with a finish that should be able to take some hard use with out a problem. Blade sharpness was hair popping right out of the box, blade centering was spot on. My only complaint is the stiffness of the deployment, I adjusted the pivot screw which helped but I finally figured that this knife needs a different deployment motion than all my other knives... it needs a sideways push on the thumb stud, versus a upward push and with most knives. This odd motion along with the stiffness have made for a steeper than usual learning curve. But don't get me wrong, I dig this knife as my new EDC.
