Zancudo is Spanish for Mosquito but besides its compacts size, we cannot think of another similarity between this knife and the buzzing pest. The Zancudo was designed by the survival experts over at ESEE Knives, Mike Perrin and Jeff Randal, and was produced by Blue Ridge Knives. It's an amazingly slim, well built folder that you won't have a problem carrying and using every day. The framelock mechanism and FRN handle, with the solid, full length steel liners, provide serious strength to this small folder. The pocket clip is reversible but only set up for right hand carry and the knife weighs in at exactly three ounces. It's a folder we're very excited about here at the KnifeCenter because it gets almost everything right in a folding knife at a price point you're sure to be pleased with.

Great pocket knife, but I would refrain from using thus for heavy duty bush craft.

Pros: Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Weight, Handle Material, None
Cons: Lock Type, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel
Why?
I really like the looks of this series of knives, but think they would be MUCH better as liner locks instead of the now-common frame locks. I know the frame locks are fully functional, but to me, they are absolutely ugly! To me, the whole knife looks unfinished when the frame lock design is used. I personally do not buy ANY frame lock knives, for the simple reason that I do not like their looks at all - to each his own, I guess.

Feels just right.
I've been looking for a knife like this to carry for protection for some time, and have ordered a few trying to find the perfect one. None seem to be a 100%.... but this knife feels just right the first time I tried it. A knife I know I can depend on.
