Description
RCCANDT: CAN-DT Candiru, Desert Tan
ESEE Knives

ESEE Kandiru knife with black blade, skeletonized handle and Cordura sheath. Optional bolt-on handle scales sold separately.

Our knives are made from high carbon 1095 steel. And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for - especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor on the blade.

1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Cons: None
Tiny tiny tiny
Fits in a pocket, fits in your hand, twice the knife of the similar sized Becker remora much more comfy handle, and a much beefier a blade, I haven't had a chance to use it a lot, but it can take some abuse, it you like me to baton 2" logs this is the blade for you! Sheath leaves a little to be desired

Cons: None
The Candiru is a sturdy, thin, high quality knife that has an simple, yet functional ambidextrous sheath. I wear it on a neck sheath or at times carry in my pocket. It is small enough to be legal in many overseas countries. I keep it coated with tuff glide and so far, after a week working in a Central American jungle, no problems with rust. I have the micarta handles, but so far I leave them off. It would be nice to see this knife next to the ESEE Izula and Iszula II on a piece of graph paper to compare the size of the three knives.
