RCIZULABKIT: IZULA - Black (Complete Kit)
ESEE Knives

Where did the name IZULA come from?

The locals in Peru call the meanest, nastiest ant of the jungle by the name "Isula" (photo below on Desert Tan IZULA knife). We know it as the Bullet Ant. The Bullet Ant is known to be independent, tough, light on its feet, and a real aggressive survivor - the IZULA knife is built the same way. This knife is designed to be the perfect lightweight survival kit or concealed carry knife.

Complete IZULA kit includes: Ambidextrous Sheath, Clip Plate, Paracord (for cord wrapping handle or use as a lanyard), cord lock, Snap (for snapping system on to outdoor gear), Split Ring, Fire Flint, Whistle, and Instruction Sheet.

1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Kydex Sheath
Kydex Sheath
Waterproof, scratch resistant, and low friction. It will hold its shape and makes a great alternative to leather.

Steel Handles
Steel Handles
Stainless Steel knife handles provide strength and durability while using chromium oxide to create a rust-resistant barrier.

Great little knife
I wrote the same review about the Izula kit in OD green. Great little knife, my go to travel companion! It is worth the price for the ESEE No Questions Asked warranty alone.

As Advertised - earns the superlatives
Part of appreciating something for what it is starts with managing my expectations. It's a knife with a specific range of uses. My utility knife's blade tended to flex at the pivot during many tasks. The fixed blade is easier (faster) to employ, and gives me enough of a cutting edge to perform those tasks appropriate for something this size, and durable enough to do so for years to come. It's also small enough to keep me humble in my view of how I handle situations. I don't own many tools that instill that same confidence or clarity of purpose. Must-have for my truck EDC.

Simple knife, but all you need to get most things done while camping or backpacking.
